Steps to Take In A Pet Emergency

If you are experiencing a veterinary emergency, follow the steps below.

  • Call Ahead If Possible - For urgent but non-life-threatening issues, please call us right away during our regular hours. If your pet requires emergency or after-hours care, call the animal hospital above.
  • Follow Instructions Provided - When you call the emergency pet hospital to let them know you're on your way, you may get instructions on how to give your pet first aid or make it as comfortable as possible. Follow these instructions very carefully.
  • Remain Calm - Keep your cool and be extra careful around your pet. When an animal is hurt, they may be angry at anyone who tries to help them and bite or scratch them.
  • Bring Your Pet In For Care - Do not put yourself in danger! Carefully and safely transport your pet to the veterinary clinic.

However, if your pet's needs can be managed at home overnight, we'll ask you to pick your pet up and bring it back the next day. While they are in our care, we will treat your pet as if they were our own.

  • What types of animals do you treat?

Our veterinarians see cats and dogs.
